Independence Day Celebration (Pre-Primary)
August 14 @ 8:00 am - 2:00 pm
Independence Day is annually celebrated on 15 August, as a national holiday in India commemorating the nation’s independence from the United Kingdom on 15 August 1947. On 15 August 1947, the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru raised the Indian national flag above the Lahori Gate of the Red Fort in Delhi. On each subsequent Independence Day, the incumbent Prime Minister customarily raises the flag and gives an address to the nation.
Celebration By Goenkan:
Mr. Sarvesh Goel, the Chairman, welcomed the Chief Guest, members of the trust and the students to them. While addressing the audience he told how our freedom fighters had initially thought of achieving freedom and executed their plans through grit and determination. Likewise, he asked the students to be determined in their deeds which help them attain success and achieving their dreams. He said, “Future belongs to those who believe in their dreams.”
He also asked the students to note the contribution of our leaders and freedom fighters. Even when things were not in their favor, they struggled and made free India a possibility. So the students must remember their work and take them as examples in today’s time.
