Valentine Day Origin as a Western Christian feast day honoring one or two early saints named Valentinus, Valentine’s Day is recognized as a significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romance and romantic love.
The first Valentine’s Day was in the year 496! Having a particular Valentine’s Day is a very old tradition, thought to have originated from a Roman festival. The Romans had a festival called Lupercalia in the middle of February – officially the start of their springtime.
The traditions of Valentine’s Day are broad and many. It is a time to exchange cards or small gifts. It is a romantic event for lovers and a fun event for kids and family. Many a couple become engaged or wed on this day. For others, it is a day to fall in love.
