Teen Advisor of United Nation Foundation

GD Goenka Student Saundarya D Nair selected from India as Teen Advisor of United Nation Foundation –

Saundarya Nair a Class XII (session 2023-24) student of GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow, is selected as the only girl from India as Teen Advisor of United Nation Foundation, among the 25 girls from 14 different countries across the world this year. She will be attending ‘Teen Advisor weekend’ and representing the Nation as Girl Up member at Washington DC.

International Taekwondo Championship 2022

Saundarya D Nair of GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow Wins Gold in International Taekwondo Championship 2022 –

The 6th India TIA Open International Taekwondo Championship 2022 was held at Khudiram Anushilan Kendra, Kolkata, West Bengal from 19 to 21 December 2022. Saundarya D Nair from the Taekwondo Academy of India, participated in this prestigious international tournament and secured Gold Medal in the Poomsae Individual Junior Female (15-17 Years) Color Belt category. The championship was organized by Korean Taekwondo Masters Association of India and Jeong’s Taekwondo Academy. Participants of many countries showed their mettle in the tournament.

Saundarya Nair, a student of Class X A, participated in the ‘Young Researchers for Social Impact’ programme anchored by Harvard and Oxford Alumni. This program builds critical thinking and problem-solving skills by engaging talented high schoolers in live research projects to partner NGOs. This selection ensures a month’s programme which introduces these young minds to cutting edge problems in society and mentors them to work with NGOs.

9th INDO NEPAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES & SPORTS 2022

Organised by 'Indian Games and Sports Federation' at Rangshala Stadium, Pokhara, Nepal
held from 08 to 11 November 2022

In this championship GD Goenka School Lucknow participated in Football and Basketball tournaments where the school team emerged winner in the International Basketball Tournament and won the gold medal. In the football tournament also the school team reached the finals and were the runners-up.

National Level Exhibition 2019

GD Goenka School Lucknow student Pranjal Srivastava & selected for Inspire Manak Award National Level Exhibition (2019) set to visit Japan for Sakura Science High School Program (SSHP) –

One among Nine Students Selected from Uttar Pradesh for the Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science (SAKURA Science Plan) – The student of GD Goenka Public School Lucknow, Pranjal Srivastava, a student of class X then, received the Inspire Manak Award at the National Level Exhibition 2019 for his model of ‘Thermal Power Generating Stand’ and as a reward got selected for the SAKURA Science High School Program (SSHP) of Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) under which the winners of MANAK program are invited to visit Japan. A total of 60 students got selected from India amongst the winners of National Level Exhibition and Project Competitions and GD Goenka student Pranjal Srivastava was one of them. He is also one of the nine students chosen from Uttar Pradesh for the program.

40th National Taekwondo Championship & 26th National Poomsae Taekwondo Championship(Female Junior Black Belt Category)

Organised by Taekwondo Academy of India & held at KD Singh Babu Indoor Stadium, Lucknow in June 2023. Saundarya D Nair, student of class XII (2023-24), won Gold Medal in the individual Junior Female Poomsae Category at the championship held from 9 – 11 June 2023.

CBSE East Zone Tennis Champioship 2022-2023

CBSE East Zone Tennis Champioship 2022-2023 held from 02nd to 04th December 2022- The boys’ under-19 team of GD Goenka Public School Lucknow was the runner-up in the tournament and won Siver medal.

KISHORE VAIGYANIK PROTSAHAN YOJNA (KVPY) 2021-22

Two of the GD Goenka students Aryan Agarwal, Class XII, academic session 2021-22 and Atharv Agarwal, Class XII, academic session 2022-23, have brought laurels to the school by getting selected for the prestigious Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna (KVPY) 2021-22.
The students secured good rankings in the recently announced results, where Atharv Agarwal achieved All India Ranking (AIR) 607 in SA Stream for class XI and Aryan Agarwal attained AIR 1473 in SX Stream for class XII.

Won Gold in the Football & Badminton Tournaments; Bronze in Table-Tennis

CBSE Sahodaya organized a Mini Sports Olympiad on 17 and 18 November 2022. The football team of GD Goenka School emerged the winner of the tournament and won the Gold Medal in the under 14 category. The students of the school won gold in the Badminton competition too. Tanisi Singh Gujjar of class 5 won Gold in the under-14 singles category and won Gold in under-14 doubles with Angela Joy Kumar of class 8. Soundarya Khatri, a class 7 student of the school, won a Bronze Medal in the under-14 singles category in the Table Tennis competition
