Auspicious Festival of Baisakhi Celebrated at GD Goenka Public School:-

The auspicious festival of Baisakhi is celebrated on the first day of Vaisakh month. It is one of the major festivals of Sikhs and is celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm and gaiety throughout the country. Baisakhi is not only a harvest festival but also an auspicious day as on this day Guru Gobind Singh established the ‘Khalsa Panth’.

Goenkans also celebrated it with fervor and jauntiness on Wednesday, 13 April 2023. Starting from the morning assembly to the theme-based activities, the day was full of joyous learning for the children.

The students were told about the Baisakhi festival, its importance, and its significance, through a short speech. An energetic dance performance by the students set the mood for the fun and gaiety of the festival.

Principal, Dr. Prerna Mitra also spoke to the students about the importance of celebrating the harvest festival.

The motive behind the celebrations was to apprise the children of their rich culture and heritage.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”12621″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”12622″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”12623″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”12624″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
