Cyber Security Society Program:

G D Goenka Public School organized a seminar on Cyber Security Society Program on 20 April 2019. The seminar was conducted by Mr. Nitnem Sodhi. Describing the coverage areas in the workshop, he spoke about the importance of Cyber Security due to the increase in Cyber Crimes and how the academic institutions can play a greater role in generating awareness about it. He underlined the increasing interest shown by youngsters in the area of data security .A powerful presentation on information security, the threats and vulnerabilities was presented.

Highlighting the challenges of today in the area of information security and the threats hacking, he recommended a cautious approach for all the citizens especially in the light of dangers posed by professional hackers and cyber attackers. 

He detailed about the hacking and its procedure. The hackers use the information provided on public platform and social networking websites like Facebook and use it for hacking. He suggested using Critical thinking and avoiding posting personal information on such networking sites. The session was very useful and enriching. The students showed keen interest in it and it was a lively session with active participation from everyone.
