An exciting Day & Night Adventure Camp was successfully conducted at GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow, on Saturday, 24th January, for students of Classes Nursery to VIII. The camp was organized in collaboration with Victory Adventure Camp with the aim of providing students a joyful learning experience beyond academics.
The students of classes Nursery to V participated in the Day Camp and students from classes VI – VIII took part in the Night Camp which concluded on Sunday, 25 January, 2026. The programme commenced with a briefing and group distribution, following which students eagerly took part in a variety of adventure activities. The students from classes Nursery to V zipped through the Zip Line, experiencing a thrilling rush, while the Burma Bridge tested their balance and courage. The Commando Net and Sports Climbing activities encouraged strength, determination and perseverance. Students bounced with excitement on the Trampoline, rolled cheerfully in the Roller Zorb, and enjoyed the freedom of swinging on the Tyre Swing. Traditional games like Hop Scotch and engaging camp games added fun and laughter to the event.
The night camp began with an orientation session, where trained instructors briefed students about safety measures and teamwork. This was followed by a plethora of exciting adventure activities such as Zorb Roller, Bungee Run, Commando Net, Tug of War, Tent Pitching, Zip Line, Sport Climbing, Flying Fox, Burma Bridge, Trampoline, Double Rope Bridge, Hippty Hop Ball, Soft Archery, Tarzan Swing, Hamster Wheel and numerous other Team Building games kept the students hooked throughout. Students also took part in campfire activities, including storytelling, singing, and group games, which created a lively and joyful atmosphere.
One of the highlights of the camp was the treasure hunt and stargazing session, where students learned about nature, discipline, and survival skills under expert guidance. Teachers remained present throughout the night to ensure the safety and comfort of the participants.
The Adventure Night Camp concluded the next day at 12:00 noon with a reflection session and breakfast along with the distribution of prizes to the winners in different activities. The school Principal, Dr. Prerna Mitra emphasized on the importance of including physical activities for the students to develop leadership skills, teamwork and problem solving skills.
The camp aimed to develop self-confidence, leadership, cooperation, and resilience among students. Parents appreciated the initiative, stating that such experiences help children grow beyond the classroom.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the day as it offered a refreshing break from their regular academic routine. The adventure camp came as a welcome change before the commencement of the final examinations, allowing students to relax, unwind and recharge. The joyful activities helped ease academic stress and created a cheerful environment where children could laugh freely and express themselves. Many students shared that the camp made them feel energetic, confident and motivated. It served as a perfect kickstart, helping them return to their studies with a positive mindset and renewed enthusiasm.
The camp was conducted under the careful supervision of trained instructors and school teachers, ensuring complete safety. The Adventure Camp concluded on a joyful note, leaving students with memorable experiences and valuable life skills.
