Dussehra Celebration:

Dussehra Celebration also was known as Vijayadashmi is the festival to celebrate the victory of good over evil. People celebrate Dussehra in the happiness of victory of Lord Rama over the evil Ravana. It was celebrated in Top CBSE School G. D. Goenka Public School, Lucknow with a lot of religious zest and fervor. Students of each class were told about the significance of the festival and why it is celebrated, by the class teacher followed by the story of Dussehra on the smart board. The video showed the whole history of the kidnapping of Sita and victory of Ram over Ravan. Students enjoyed the video and learned about the significance of the festival.

Later in the day, children made Dussehra craft which included decorative festive lanterns and cutouts craft by pre-nursery and Ram and Sita craft by students of nursery grade respectively. Students of kindergarten decorated sketch of goddess Durga in a beautiful manner. Grade 1 decorated rangoli designs made on a sheet of paper. Grade 2 made Ravana mask. Children were very excited to know about this festival and took home the craft they had made as a souvenir.
