Empowerment to Destitute Women:
Empowerment to Destitute Women and Children was recently organized by Best CBSE School GD Goenka Public School Lucknow. Lali-Hope of Grace is an organization which provides shelter to destitute women and children from slums. They are trained in skills which help them achieve a sense of accomplishment. They are also provided with basic education and etiquette training.
As a part of the community service programme, 10 students from classes 10 to 12 volunteered at the training center for skill development of these women and children. Goenkan students helped them to learn the art of making paper jewelry and handbags. The noble thought behind the idea was to provide training to these destitute women so that they can earn their livelihood in a dignified way.
