On March 10, 2026, an enthusiastic group of students from GD Goenka Public School Lucknow, accompanied by their teachers, visited the Uttar Pradesh State Institute of Forensic Science (UPSIFS) for an enriching educational excursion. The visit aimed to expose students to cutting-edge forensic science, fostering curiosity in science, technology, and justice.
The program began with a warm introduction by the PRO Santosh Tiwari, who detailed the institution’s infrastructure and academic wings, including Forensic Science, Forensic Justice, and Legal Studies. Students were then guided through key labs: the DNA Lab, Forensic Lab, Toxicology Lab, and Artificial Intelligence Lab. Here, they explored advanced technologies for forensic extraction and reconstruction, such as DNA impression analysis from a simple touch, which left them overjoyed and inspired.
The highlight was an interactive session with ADG Dr. GK Goswami, who emphasized the role of logic and reasoning in uncovering truth through evidence. Students actively engaged, asking thoughtful questions about career streams in forensic science and appreciating technological advancements. They gained valuable insights into how justice, truth, and evidence form the core of this field.
The excursion was a resounding success, sparking keen interest among students in STEM and forensic studies.
