GD GOENKA PUBLIC SCHOOL LUCKNOW BIDS ADIEU TO ITS CLASS XII BATCH OF 2023-2024:-
Siddhi Goel and Harshit Ohlyan Crowned as Miss and Mr. Goenka
On Saturday, 03 February 2024, GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow was a sight to behold as the outgoing batch of class XII students arrived for the most awaited event of the year, i.e., ‘Farewell Ceremony 2023-2024’. The entire campus was a riot of colours as the XII class students arrived dressed in keeping with the ‘Netflix theme’.The students of Grade XI and all the Goenkanteachers came together to bid farewell to the outgoing batch of 2023-24.
It was a day of mixed emotions for all present in the school as they witnessed the official send-off of the class XII students at the Farewell Ceremony. The day was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers reminiscing the joyous moments of the past. Students of Class XI organized the farewell party with great enthusiasm and of course, endeavored to leave a trail of nostalgia behind for their seniors. The students of class XII were unrecognizable as you could only see the young ladies, elegantly dressed in their colourful saris whereas the boys of grade XII looked like gentlemen, as they carried themselves stylishly in tuxedos and suits. Impeccably dressed, the outgoing students entered the school premises and were well received by the Class XI students.
The event began with a welcome address, followed by a group dance by the students of class XI. There was a series of games specially organized to keep the party spirits high. Everyone took the opportunity to create umpteen memories by getting numerous pictures clicked especially at the photo gallery that had been created for the event.
Next was the ‘Fashion Show’ wherein Class XII students walked the ramp as part of the contest for the titles to be won. After the shortlisted candidates answered the questions asked by the judges Siddhi Goel was adjudged as ‘Miss Goenka’ and Harshit Ohlyanas ‘Mr Goenka’. In other award categories, Yuvraj Singh Visen and Diya Goel were presented with the titles of ‘Mr and Miss Photogenic’, while Vipul Mehndiratta was declared as ‘Mr. Well, Groomed and Harsimar Kaur Taneja as ‘Miss Fashion Plate’, Shashank Singh and Shreshtha Singh were given the titles of ‘Mr and Miss Fashion Icon’, and Yuvraj Singh and Saundarya D Nair were adjudged as ‘Mr and Miss Congeniality’.
The chairman of the school Mr Sarvesh Goel addressed the students and asked them to carry forward the legacy of the school by excelling in their field of choice. This was followed by the cake-cutting ceremony after which all the students shook their legs together. Hugging and greeting everyone, some sensitive ones even shed a few tears as this was the last day of their school life. It is surely a journey that was the stepping stone to their journey ahead. Principal Dr Prerna Mitra and the Chairman Mr Sarvesh Goel wished the students good luck in their future endeavors and their upcoming board examinations.
