CBSE Sensitization Program on Financial Literacy and use of Digital Tools held at GD Goenka School Lucknow:-

A person either disciplines his finances or his finances disciplines him.”

Financial literacy makes it okay for us to make small or big mistakes. On the other hand, being financial illiterate only makes those mistakes dire and regrettable.

CBSE has taken an initiative to sensitize teachers across the country on the basics of Financial Literacy and the use of Digital Tools that are relevant in the current scenario. The session focused to create awareness about basic financial planning, how to avoid falling prey to phishing and cyber frauds, etc. This helped educators stay updated to plan their future in a better way and also disseminate their learning and extracted experience with the students so that they deal with the finances vigilantly. This initiative is part of Activities related to Investor Education and Awareness Initiative in terms of SEBI (Mutual Funds) Regulations, 1996.

The session was conducted in offline mode by CoE-Prayagraj. GD Goenka Public School was the hub for the same. Teachers from different schools in Lucknow participated by registering themselves through the link provided by CBSE. A total of 112 teachers had participated.

The session was headed by CA Raveesh Chaudhary. Mr. Chaudhary has about 10 years of extensive experience in Accounting Audit Assurance and Indirect Taxation. He is a visiting faculty for Registered Valuation Organisation, Divya Jyoti Foundation for 50 hours of compulsory training and also a member of the peer review board and an expert committee of DJF.

The session began by welcoming the guest speaker and the participants. The Principal, Dr. Prerna Mitra placed the heartiest gratitude on behalf of the entire Goenkan family by presenting a moment to the guest speaker.
