Independence Day Celebrations at GD Goenka Public School:-

It was a red-letter day in the history of India when the country got its freedom on August 15, 1947. It took hundreds of years for us to break the shackles of slavery. People of the country celebrate this festival every year with great pomp and show. We are talking about Independence Day!

GD Goenka Public School celebrated Independence Day with strong emotions towards the motherland. Pre-primary students participated with so much enthusiasm in the celebration. Generally, the day is celebrated with the unfurling of the flag and singing the national anthem, remembering our freedom fighters but this year again the celebration was different. It happened online but all the students made sure that they should do something in unison to enjoy and celebrate this day. On 13th of August, 2021, the students of Pre-Nursery and Nursery made the flag of our country using ice-cream sticks. Students of Kindergarten made tri-colour caps. Grade 1 made tri-colour kites and wrote few lines about the country on it and grade 2 enjoyed making posters and wrote few lines on how we should celebrate Independence Day.

It was a beautiful celebration amidst the pandemic. Children had a good time and gained valuable information while watching PowerPoint Presentation and videos about Independence Day.
