GD Goenka Public School celebrated Friendship Day on 04.08.2026, with immense enthusiasm and warmth, transforming the campus into a vibrant celebration of love, care, and togetherness. The thoughtfully curated activities across all wings encouraged children to understand the true essence of friendship through creativity, collaboration, and joyful learning.
Toddlers and Nursery students delighted in making colourful Friendship Rings, LKG learners created a beautiful Friendship Flower, UKG students designed and exchanged handcrafted Friendship Bands, while Grade I children explored their imagination through a lively Finger Painting activity. Each activity reflected the spirit of sharing, caring, and building meaningful bonds.
Adding a special touch to the celebration, the Grade II students enthusiastically participated in the Friendship Tree activity by pasting their passport-size photographs on a beautifully decorated tree, symbolising that every child is a cherished part of the GD Goenka family. They also confidently introduced themselves and shared one admirable quality they value in a friend, promoting self-expression, confidence, empathy, and effective communication.
A ‘Special Assembly’ was also conducted where various activities highlighted the significance of true friendship and why one should cherish this bond forever. The celebration filled every classroom with smiles, laughter, and heartfelt moments, leaving the young learners with beautiful memories and reinforcing the timeless values of friendship, kindness, respect, and unity.
