A G20 forum Quiz Competition Held at GD Goenka School, Lucknow:-

As a proud achievement of our country, India holds the coveted Presidency of the G20 Forum Quiz Competition for one year from December 2022 to 30 November 2023. The theme of India’s G20 Presidency is – “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” or “One Earth, One Family, One Future”. Drawing from our cultural ethos, this is a strong assertion of beliefs in shared and common solutions. The G20 brings together 20 major economies of the world. The G20 initially focused largely on broad macroeconomic issues, but it has since expanded its agenda to inter-alia climate change, sustainable development, health, agriculture, climate change, and anti-corruption.

Engaging young minds on important issues is the pivot of GD Goenka Public School and with this aim, the school conducted ‘The G-20 Quiz’ for the students on 08 February 2023 to make them more efficient and motivated to be a part of the G20 Summit.  These events play an important role in shaping and strengthening our students. The objective of holding the quiz itself is uniquely impactful. The competition was between class VIII and IX students. It provided a platform to the students and even enhanced their economic interests in global issues. It was an inter-house competition and each house was represented by three participants competing with each other. There were two rounds of the competition. Both rounds were joyful and fruitful. The result for the same is as follows:

Vivekananda House won the quiz and Teresa house was the first runner-up.
