Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrated at GD Goenka School with Full Fervour & Devotion:-

Festivals are a way to celebrate heritage, culture, and traditions. Ganesh Chaturthi was Celebrated at GD Goenka School with Full Fervour and devotion. They are meant to rejoice in special moments and emotions. Festivals build group cohesiveness, bring people together, break the monotony of routine, and energise the body, mind, and spirit. Echoing this festival spirit, GD Goenka Public School Lucknow celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with much zeal and zest on 19 September 2023.

The celebration commenced with a special pooja, where the Chairman of the school Mr. Sarvesh Goel, and the Principal Dr. Prerna Mitra offered flowers to Lord Ganesha followed by aarti. Students of grade 1-A performed a dance giving respect to the Lord.  The whole atmosphere saw the rousing chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya!”

Later, in their respective classes, students of Toddlers and Pre-Nursery crafted beautiful idols of Lord Ganesha from clay. The activity aimed to signify the eco-friendly celebration of the festival. Students of the Nursery made a beautiful garland with paper leaves of different colours. Using a paper cup, students of KG made a paper cup Ganesha. Students of Grades 1 and 2 made origami Ganesha and Ganesha with leaves respectively. They also discussed various names of Lord Ganesha.

The little dancing started rocking on a medley of Ganesha songs and watched a short story which added splendour to the entire celebration.

The festival awakened devotion, creativity, understanding, and learning among children.
