GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow, participated in the Vaicharik Samagam held on September 7, hosted by the UP-112 Headquarters. Students from classes IX-X represented the school in this significant event that highlighted the importance of community engagement and social responsibility. The event commenced with an introduction by Additional Director General (ADG) Mohini Pathak, who spoke about the critical role of the Public Relations Vehicle (PRV) and Community Policing in strengthening law enforcement and community relations. She emphasized how these efforts are essential for enhancing public safety and fostering trust between law enforcement and citizens.
A key highlight of the event was a short film presented by Shahab Rasheed Khan, titled Ek Pahal. The film underscored the need for proactive community involvement to create a safer and more connected society. GD Goenka students took an active role in addressing social issues through various performances. They presented a traditional Nukkad Natak (street play) which effectively portrayed the themes of social responsibility and cooperation, leaving a strong impact on the audience.
The event also featured a dynamic Q&A session, where students had the opportunity to interact with officials and ask insightful questions about women’s safety, public safety, and other pressing social issues. The officials commended the students for their thoughtful queries and discussed strategies to improve safety measures within the community.
