GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow, celebrated the festival of Holi with great enthusiasm and creativity, organising a series of engaging art and craft activities for students across different classes. The celebration aimed to help children understand the cultural significance of the festival while promoting a safe and eco-friendly way of celebrating Holi.

The event began with a special Holi-themed assembly where teachers narrated the story of Holika Dahan and Prahlad, explaining the message of truth, faith, and the victory of good over evil. The storytelling session helped students learn about the traditional values associated with the festival.

The festive spirit grew stronger when teachers performed a lively dance on a cheerful Holi song, filling the atmosphere with joy and excitement. The colourful celebration created a cheerful environment where students participated with enthusiasm and shared moments of happiness with their friends.

A vibrant festive set-up was arranged in the school’s OAP area, where children took part in Phoolon Ki Holi, playing with flower petals instead of chemical colours. The eco-friendly celebration ensured that students enjoyed the festival safely while learning to respect nature.

The highlight of the celebration was the class-wise creative activities organised for students. Tiny tots of the Pre-Primary wing participated in flower petal Holi and created colourful pichkari craft models. Nursery students made bright Holi splash goggles using paints and also designed creative masks.

Students of LKG and UKG enthusiastically participated in craft activities using vibrant colours and decorative materials. They created 3D pichkaris using paper and craft materials, showcasing their imagination and artistic skills.

Meanwhile, students of Classes 1 and 2 participated in group craft activities and Holi greeting card making, spreading festive cheer and creativity among their classmates.

The celebration successfully combined learning, creativity, and cultural awareness, making the festival both meaningful and enjoyable for students. Through such engaging activities, GD Goenka Public School continues to encourage students to celebrate traditions responsibly while nurturing creativity and joy in learning. 🌸🎨
