Lucknow: GD Goenka Public School organised a heartfelt farewell ceremony, VIGAM, to bid adieu to the outgoing batch of Class XII, marking an emotional yet celebratory milestone in the students’ academic journey. The event was thoughtfully hosted by the students of Class XI, who ensured a warm, memorable, and vibrant atmosphere for their seniors.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising knowledge, hope, and new beginnings. The dignified opening was graced by the presence of school chairman Mr Sarvesh Goel, director Ms Lalita Goel, principal Dr Prerna Mitra, director Ms Neha Goel (GD Goenka Public School, Mahanagar), and chief coordinating officer Ms Nandini Goel, whose presence added grace and encouragement to the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Chairman Mr Sarvesh Goel motivated the students to step into the next phase of life with confidence, discipline, and focus. He reminded them that examinations are not merely tests of memory but reflections of perseverance, consistency, and strength of character. His words inspired students to remain grounded, resilient, and committed to their goals while navigating future challenges.
Principal Dr Prerna Mitra, in her address, shared the guiding mantra of “Dedication, Devotion, and Determination” as the key to success. She emphasised the importance of regular study habits, effective time management, and conceptual clarity while preparing for board examinations. Special blessings were extended to the students for their physical, mental, and emotional well-being, invoking strength, clarity, and inner peace as they approached this crucial academic milestone.
The farewell programme featured a variety of engaging and entertaining activities that reflected creativity, confidence, and camaraderie. Highlights included an elegant ramp walk, a school-themed Emoji Trivia Quiz, melodious musical performances, and student-led activities that brought smiles and applause from the audience. A nostalgic video presentation captured cherished memories from the students’ school years, evoking emotions and laughter alike.
The evening further unfolded with lively group dance performances that filled the auditorium with energy and warmth. The announcement of student titles added an element of excitement, followed by the traditional cake-cutting ceremony and the school song, reinforcing a strong sense of belonging and pride.
The ceremony concluded on a hopeful and positive note with the distribution of personalised mugs as mementoes, leaving the students feeling calm, motivated, and deeply grateful to their alma mater.
