With this objective, GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow organised a Scholastic Book Fair from July 23 to 25, offering students an engaging opportunity to discover books across a wide range of subjects and genres.
The fair featured an extensive collection comprising fiction, non-fiction, encyclopaedias, biographies, activity books, science books and poetry collections. Adding an element of excitement, students participated in special challenges associated with the fair. Vansh Vaibhav Singh of Class IV-D emerged as the winner of the Lucky Draw Contest. In the Classroom Challenge, based on the highest participation in book purchases, the Class V Cambridge Section won a gift hamper.
The book fair went beyond providing access to books. It encouraged students to explore different subjects independently, strengthened their literary interests and helped nurture imagination and a positive reading culture.
