LITTLE GOENKANS INTRODUCED TO SCIENCE CONCEPTS THROUGH INTERESTING ACTIVITIES:

To make learning exciting and engaging, GD Goenka Public School organized a Science Experiment Activity on December 4, 2025, for students from Toddler to Grade 2. The objective of the event was to nurture curiosity and enhance scientific thinking among young learners through simple, hands-on experiments that encouraged observation, exploration, and discovery.

Each grade performed a unique and fascinating experiment suited to their level of understanding. Toddlers and Nursery participated in the Magic Hand Shield experiment, where they observed how talcum powder repels water, leaving their hands magically dry—an enjoyable introduction to the concept of water resistance. L.K.G. students explored Rain in a Jar, using water, shaving foam, and blue colour to observe how clouds form and release rain, beautifully demonstrating the rain-formation process. U.K.G. students conducted The Magic of Floating Lemon, discovering how salt changes the density of water and makes a lemon float, helping them understand basic buoyancy. Grade 1 students performed a Colour-Changing Potion using turmeric, detergent, and vinegar, witnessing captivating colour changes that introduced them to simple chemical reactions. Grade 2 explored the Candle Science Experiment, learning how air occupies space and exerts pressure by observing how a candle flame behaves inside an inverted glass.

Students were thrilled to see everyday materials transform into tools for discovery. Each experiment was thoughtfully designed to develop critical thinking, encourage questioning, and strengthen the connection between theory and real-life phenomena. The Science Experiment Activity was a resounding success, fostering a spirit of inquiry and experimentation among young Goenkans while making science truly come alive in their classrooms.
