Driven by the spirit of social responsibility, the Community Service Club of GD Goenka Public School organized a meaningful visit to the Anganwadi Kendra at Ghuswal Kala, Lucknow on 18th July 2026.
In alignment with the government’s Mission Poshan Abhiyan initiative to fight malnutrition, the students actively distributed nutrient-dense food items—including jaggery, ghee, and dates—to the children at the anganwadi kendra.
To ensure long-term impact rather than a one-time donation, the club established a sustainable “Buddy System,” pairing two senior students with each Anganwadi child to track and monitor their health and well-being during future visits. Additionally, the Goenkans conducted interactive awareness sessions, teaching the young children the vital importance of personal health, hygiene practices, and pursuing educational goals.
Ultimately, this initiative not only provided essential nutrition and mentorship to the children of Ghuswal Kala but also served as a profound learning experience for the senior students, instilling core values of empathy, compassion, and dedicated service toward the underprivileged.
