Students of GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow, recently embarked on an enriching educational visit to the Innovation Hub of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Jankipuram. The visit was designed to provide students with first-hand exposure to cutting-edge technology, research facilities, and the rapidly evolving world of innovation and entrepreneurship.
The educational tour began with an introductory session that familiarised students with AKTU’s vision, innovation-driven ecosystem, and incubation framework that supports young innovators and startups. Faculty members and technical experts briefed students about the university’s role in promoting research, industrial collaboration, and technological advancement.
During the visit, students explored several state-of-the-art laboratories equipped with advanced tools and infrastructure. Key highlights included demonstrations of high-capacity artificial intelligence computing systems, 3D printers used for rapid prototyping, industrial automation setups, and smart city cyber security models. The students also observed the functioning of the KUKA robotic arm and Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) systems, which offered valuable insights into modern industrial processes and robotics.
Another major attraction was the nano fibre electrospinning unit and healthcare innovation projects, where students learned how technology is being applied to address real-world medical and industrial challenges. These demonstrations helped bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical applications, encouraging students to think critically and creatively.

The Innovation Hub’s advanced prototyping facilities and collaborative workspaces gave students a glimpse into how ideas are transformed into viable products and solutions. Interaction with experts sparked curiosity among students, many of whom expressed keen interest in pursuing careers in engineering, research, and entrepreneurship.
Teachers accompanying the students highlighted that such exposure plays a crucial role in shaping young minds by broadening their academic horizons and motivating them to explore emerging fields of science and technology. The visit not only enhanced students’ understanding of technological concepts but also inspired them to innovate, experiment, and think beyond textbooks.
Overall, the AKTU Innovation Hub visit proved to be an enlightening and motivating experience. It reinforced the importance of experiential learning and aligned with GD Goenka Public School’s commitment to nurturing future-ready learners equipped with knowledge, skills, and a spirit of innovation.
