Eid Celebration at GD Goenka Public School Lucknow
Festivals are perceived as an important part of education as they can help to create a sense of national or cultural community among the children. (GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow) GDGPS celebrated Eid ul-Fitr on 30 April 2022 with our little Goenkans of Pre-Nursery till Grade II to bring the children closer to traditional beliefs.
The kids enjoyed watching the story on Eid ul- Fitr and learned about the occasion intended for enjoyment, forgiveness, and feasting in the holy month of Ramadan. The children made greeting cards and wall hangings. They gave the greeting cards to their peers and hugged them and wished each other Eid Mubarak. The children of Grade II also spoke two lines as to why Eid is celebrated. It was a day of fun and celebrations.
