GOENKAN SUMMER FEST – EXHUBERENCE UNPARALLELED!!!
Visit school as Guests on the Grand Finale of GD Goenka Summer Camp ‘Funanza 2023’. The summer camp at GD Goenka Public School, Sushant Golf City, and Mahanagar, commenced on 15 May 2023 and this remarkable journey came to an end on its tenth day of rejuvenation on 26 May 2023. The summer camp was unique and all the activities were thoroughly enjoyed and cherished by both the participants and the teachers alike.
The camp offered a wide range of activities and was attended by more than 200 participants. Art & Craft, Fine Arts, DIY, Calligraphy, Mandala Art, Zumba, Western & Classical Dance, Instrumental & Science is Fun (fun-filled science activities), witnessed active participation. Semi-Classical and Folk dance sessions preserved the authenticity of Indian dance forms, while Bollywood, Sufi, and Western dance classes catered to different age groups. Sports enthusiasts honed their skills by trying their hands at Swimming, Shooting, Skating, and Taekwondo. The Personality Development sessions aimed to provide a platform for children to explore, express, and enhance their personalities.
The camp provided an opportunity for children to explore their scientific and innovative side through the Design Lab. Participants showcased their skills in designing robots and learned about artificial intelligence coding. They also worked on various projects involving mechanical robots, 3-D modelling, electronic circuits, and assembling an EV car, demonstrating their creativity and problem-solving abilities.
The Summer Camp ‘Funanza 2023’ concluded with a spectacular closing ceremony, where renowned actor and National Film Awardee Shri Nawazuddin Siddiqui and actor and reality TV star Ms. Nikki Tamboli visited the school as guests to cheer up the students and gave away prizes to the participants. The presence of the actors infused new energy among the students and they regaled everyone with their brilliant performances. The actors joyfully met all the students and parents and got photographs clicked with them too. On this occasion, both the actors performed also on the stage with the students and told them about their newly released movie ‘Jogira Sara Ra Ra’. They urged all to go and see the movie in theatres.
Children were very excited to find such big actors amidst themselves and rushed for autographs, photos, and selfies with them. The pleasant weather added to the charged environment.
On the finale of the Summer Camp ‘Funanza 2023’ all the participants presented their art and newly acquired skills before the audience. It was a spectacular show. The Chairman of the school Mr Sarvesh Goel and the Principal, Dr Prerna Mitra encouraged the participants and appreciated the teachers for their concerted efforts in polishing the skills of the students to the next level. Chairman Mr. Sarvesh Goel said that activities like summer camps give a wonderful opportunity to students to learn those traits and art forms that are not possible in regular school days. This is the best platform to learn skills of your choice and enhance your self-confidence and personality.
On this note, the summer camp was declared closed. GD Goenka Public School successfully concluded the camp, promising more exciting challenges and opportunities in the future.
