Guru Nanak Jayanti was celebrated in GD Goenka Public School Lucknow on 25 November 2023 to remind everyone of the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. On this occasion, children from Pre- Nursery to Grade 2 visited Gurudwara Sachkhand Sahib in Gomti Nagar and ate the Kadha Prasad.
Children from Toddler to Grade 2 came dressed to school in Punjabi attires to celebrate Guru Nanak Jayanti. It was a beautiful way to honour and embrace the cultural significance of the occasion. It showcases respect for our traditions and allows children to immerse themselves in the vibrant and rich heritage of our country. This gesture fosters cultural understanding, appreciation, and unity among the students while paying homage to Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings of equality, compassion, and humility.
Children enjoyed Punjabi prayers, and a small setup was done in the Activity Centre for the same.
