Historic Day in the History of India:-

It was a historic day in the history of India when the country got independence on 15 August 1947. It took us hundreds of years to break the shackles of slavery. The people of the country celebrate this festival every year with great pomp. We are talking about Independence Day!

Students of GD Goenka Public School celebrated Independence Day with strong feelings towards the motherland. Children from Pre Nursery to Class 2 celebrated this day with great enthusiasm.

Usually this day is celebrated remembering our freedom fighters, hoisting the flag and singing the national anthem but this year again this festival was celebrated through online classes. On 13th August, students of pre nursery and nursery made our country’s flag with ice cream sticks. Kindergarten students made tricolor caps. Class 1 kids made tricolor kites and wrote few lines about the country on it and class 2 bright kids made posters and wrote few lines on it how we should celebrate Independence Day!
