Ice Cream Day:-
“Nothing beats the heat like a nice dripping ice cream scoop.”
Summer season can be personified as everyone’s never-ending love for ice cream. GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow marked the onset of this special season by celebrating the Ice Cream Day on Aug 10, 2023. Nothing can be more refreshing and exciting to the children than having their favourite scoop of ice cream on a hot scorching day that is precisely the reason for happiness and sheer fun. A dance party was an added attraction to the event. With the foot-tapping music, the ice cream man came with his beautiful ice cream cart. The Ice cream counter was specially created for Little Goenkans where they excitedly choose the flavours they wish to eat. The students relished every scoop. To capture this special fun-filled moment of happiness the teachers clicked their pictures at the selfie corner.
Later each grade competently made ‘Ice Cream Day’ crafts. Pre–nursery students made scoops of ice cream with the help of a sponge. Nursery students made scoops on cones with cotton balls. KG students made ice cream cones and scoops and they decorated it according to their choice.
Such celebrations break the monotony of daily schedules and make school and learning more interesting for students. The day was full of excitement, zeal, and everything about the yummy sugar treats. All in all, it was an enjoyable day for each child.
