Jal Sanrakshan Pakhwara at G.D. Goenka Public School was organised with the aim of spreading awareness among students about the importance of water conservation and sustainable use of water resources. The fortnight-long programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and teachers through various engaging and informative activities.
The programme commenced with the Jal Shapath (Water Conservation Pledge) in which students pledged to save water and encourage others to use water responsibly in their daily lives. The pledge inspired students to become responsible citizens and contribute towards protecting this precious natural resource.
A Poster Making Competition was also organized for students of different classes. The students showcased their creativity and concern for the environment through colourful and meaningful posters carrying messages such as “Save Water, Save Life” and “Every Drop Counts.” The activity helped students express their ideas about water conservation artistically and effectively.
To enhance awareness and critical thinking, a Debate Competition was conducted on topics related to water conservation and management. Students confidently presented their views, discussing the causes of water scarcity and suggesting practical solutions for preserving water resources. The debate encouraged students to think deeply about environmental issues and the need for collective responsibility.
The Jal Sanrakshan Pakhwara proved to be an enriching and impactful initiative. Through these activities, students developed a better understanding of the importance of water conservation and the urgent need to protect natural resources for future generations. The programme concluded successfully with a strong message to conserve water and make sustainable practices a part of everyday life.
