Little Goenkans Celebrate Lord Krishna Birthday

Little Goenkans Celebrate Lord Krishna Birthday:

Little Goenkans Celebrate Lord Krishna Birthday at G.D. Goenka Public School on 22 August 2019 with great zeal, religious fervor, and enthusiasm. The Pre-Primary wing was elated with the festive atmosphere. Janmashtami, the celebration of Lord Krishna’s birthday went hand in hand with music and dance. The tiny tots from Toddlers to KG came dressed up in beautiful attires of Radha-Krishna and presented a lyrical dance-drama through dance, songs, and bhajans.

Their ecstatic dance performances mesmerized the audience and left them spellbound. Grade II students gave an appeasing performance by enacting a Krishna Bhajan. The aura of divinity gratified the celebration as the students began the bhajan. Children also made beautiful craft items like Krishna crown, peacock and Matka with multi-colored stones, mirrors and glitters and showed their gratitude towards Lord Krishna.

The occasion was graced by the chief guest, Padmashri Malini Awasthi, an Indian folk singer. She is a Ganda bandh student of Legendary Hindustani Classical Singer, Padma Vibhushan Vidushi Girija Devi of Banaras Gharana. She is a popular A grade artist of All India Radio, and ICCR artist and has traveled to US, England, Fiji, Mauritius, and Holland. She was also appointed as the ambassador by Election Commission for UP Elections 2012.

She appreciated the marvelous performances of the students and motivated them to give their best in all walks of their lives. The traditional ambiance of the occasion reflected the bewitching Indian Culture. The main motive was not just to celebrate the festival but also to imbibe in students the moral values of Lord Krishna.
