LITTLE GOENKANS DISPLAYED TEAMWORK AND COORDINATION AT RELAY RACES HELD IN THE SCHOOL:-
Relay Races are a great way to teach kids how to be part of a team as well as learn social skills. Relay races or even just relays are really fun ideas that can work on gross and fine motor skills as well as teamwork, cooperation, and social skills. All this while the kids are active and playing.
In GD Goenka Public School Lucknow, the relay race activity was conducted on Wednesday, 18th January. Children of Pre Nursery to Class II participated in different types of relay races.
Students of the Toddler and Pre-Nursery classes did a relay race with a teddy. Nursery children had a crown relay race in which four children were standing on a track at equal distances. The first child ran with the crown on his head and he made his friend wear the crown in the same way, all three children forwarded the crown and the fourth one reached the finishing line. Children enjoyed this relay race. Children in Kindergarten did a ring and ball relay race in which they dragged the ball with the help of a ring and crossed 4 hurdles on their track and the last child on the track completed the race by crossing the last hurdle. Grade I children did cone and ball relay races. Grade II children did a relay race with a flag. Children passed the flag to their friends and the last student finished the race by reaching the finishing line with the flag.
Children learned teamwork and cooperation which made the bond stronger among them.
