Sahodaya Organized a Mini Sports Olympiad:-

Won gold in the football tournament organised in the school

Also won gold in badminton and bronze in table-tennis

GD Goenka Public School students excel at the CBSE Sahodaya mini olympiad 2022 sports tournaments. CBSE Sahodaya organized a Mini Sports Olympiad on 17 and 18 November 2022 with the objective of promoting sports in schools and providing a suitable platform for the players to showcase their talent. Tournaments in Table-Tennis, Basketball, Badminton, Chess, Volleyball, Athletics, and Football, etc. were organized in which all the CBSE schools of the city participated.

All the prominent schools of the city like The Millennium School, Lucknow Public School, Delhi Public School, Jagran Public School, Amity International School, Mount Litera Zee School, Vardaan International, Army Public School, Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, etc. participated in this Mini Olympiad, where different sports tournaments were organised in different schools. Under this arrangement, the Football tournament was organized on 17 and 18 November 2022 in the huge playground of GD Goenka School, in which the football team of GD Goenka School emerged as the winner of the tournament and won the Gold Medal in the under-14 category.

Apart from this, putting up an exemplary presentation of the excellent sports training given in GD Goenka School, the students of the school won gold in the Badminton competition held at MR Jaipuria School, Kanpur Road. Tanisi Singh Gujjar of class 5 won Gold in the under-14 singles category and won Gold in under-14 doubles with Angela Joy Kumar of class 8. Soundarya Khatri, a class 7 student of the school, won a Bronze Medal in the under-14 singles category in the Table Tennis competition held at Excellia School. The school is proud of the achievements of its students and would continue to provide them the exposure and infrastructure to perform well in every field of life.
