GD Goenka Student Shines in National Spell Bee Contest:-
Abaneesh Pal, a Grade IX student at GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow, brought laurels to the school by securing the second position in the prestigious Wiz National Spell Bee contest. The event was held on September 16 at Ravindra Bhawan, Madgaon, Goa.
Abaneesh’s journey to the national finals was marked by outstanding victories at the inter-school and state levels, where he emerged as the UP State Topper for 2023-24. At the finals, he received a trophy, a cash reward of ₹7,000, and accolades for his commendable performance.
During the award ceremony, Abaneesh expressed gratitude toward his parents, Principal Dr. Prerna Mitra, and the school librarian for their unwavering support and encouragement. This remarkable achievement has now qualified him to represent India at the World Spelling Bee Championship.
