GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow organized an educational field trip to the Indira Gandhi Planetarium for the students of Grades 1 and 2 on 29th and 30th January, 2026. The aim of the trip was to provide students with an enjoyable learning experience beyond the classroom. The students were very excited and enthusiastic about the visit. They were accompanied by their teachers, who ensured safety, discipline, and proper guidance throughout the trip. The journey was cheerful, and the children eagerly looked forward to exploring the fascinating world of space.
At the planetarium, the students watched an engaging and informative show about space, planets, stars, the Sun, and the Moon. The colourful visuals and simple explanations helped the young learners understand basic concepts of astronomy in an easy and interesting way. The children were amazed by the beautiful display of planets and the night sky. After the visit, the students enjoyed completing a reflection sheet, where they expressed what they had learned and liked the most about the trip through drawings and simple answers. This activity helped them recall their experience and reinforced their learning in a fun and creative manner.
The visit was both educational and fun, helping to develop curiosity, imagination, and interest in science. The field trip was well organized and successful, and the students returned to school safely with happy faces, wonderful memories, and valuable learning experiences.
