ADVENTURE AND EXCITEMENT MARK ‘THE WINTER CAMP 2024’ ORGANISED AT GD GOENKA PUBLIC SCHOOL LUCKNOW:-
Adventure THE WINTER CAMP 2024 generates thrill and excitement among all, they inculcate several social skills in children.
Keeping this in view on 17 and 18 February 2024, a ‘Winter Day Camp’ was organised for classes Pre-Nursery to Grade 5, and a ‘Winter Night Camp’ was organized for classes 6 to 8 in GD Goenka Public School Lucknow, to give the students a feel of the live adventure activities and experience of camping.
It was an exciting camp with full of thrilling activities initiated and managed by ‘The Rocksport’, Asia’s largest adventure sports company.
A plethora of adventure activities like Commando Net, Tug of War, Tent Pitching, Zip Line, Rope Walk, Burma Bridge, Hamster Wheel, Hipty-Hop, Commando Crawl, Body Zorp, Laser Beam, Magical Maze, and other energizing games kept the students hooked throughout. Students participated under the supervision of professionally trained instructors and teachers. It was a fun-filled day with adventure and experiential learning
The bright sunny day kept all the children engaged. At night, the students enjoyed the bonfire and treasure hunt-like activities. It was an altogether different feeling for the children, staying away from home and family and spending a winter night in a tent under the starry sky.
The students enjoyed to the hilt and though they were exhausted, the urge to have more joy seemed never-ending. The camp concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners in different activities. This camp gave great exposure to the children and a platform to be more confident and self-reliant.
The principal of the school, Dr. PrernaMitra said that these camps instill confidence, team spirit, and risk-taking.
We are sure that the tans will fade but the memories of this camp will last forever.
