Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers. G.D Goenka Public School, Lucknow held a two days ‘ Vibgyor Book Fair’ from, May 11 to May 12, 2018.

GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow held a two-day ‘ Vibgyor Book Fair’ on May 11 and 12. The fair was organized by ‘Vibgyor’ Book Distributors in the school premises. Students across all classes were taken to visit the book fair and they were provided with opportunities to browse the books before deciding for the favorite one. The response was overwhelming both from the students and parents who visited the book fair during the parent-teacher meeting.

The students enjoyed the fair and picked books varying from science to mysteries; from puzzles to poems; and from fiction to facts. There were fiction, non-fiction, activity books, encyclopedias and many more. The main attraction was the puppet show. It was a real hit as retelling a story using puppets help kids learn narrative skills. School principal Raveen Pande talked to the students and encouraged them to inculcate reading habits.
