GD GOENKA PUBLIC SCHOOL CELEBRATED ‘VIJAY DIWAS’:-

“The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.”Gilbert K. Chesterton

Vijay Diwas, a day to remember the gallant efforts and sacrifices of the Indian Armed Forces. Vijay Diwas is celebrated on December 16 to commemorate the victory of India over Pakistan in the 1971 war. On this day, India had won the war against Pakistan after fighting for 13 days. The Pakistan force’s chief, General Amir Abdullah Khan Niazi surrendered to the Indian Army after their defeat in the war. The defining moments in the history of the subcontinent also established the prowess of the Indian Armed Forces including the Army, Air Force, and Navy.
