GD GOENKA SCHOOL STUDENTS VISIT THE UTTAR PRADESH VIDHAN SABHA ON AN EDUCATIONAL EXCURSION:-
On the bright sunny day of the 6th of March 2024, the class XI students of GD Goenka Public School Lucknow had the good fortune to visit the Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha. After a quick Security Check the students were oriented by Captain Manish Rai who familiarized them with the Mughlai and Ganga Jamuni composite culture. Our first destination was the painting gallery where we were greeted by the miniature model of the Vidhan Sabha in the centre amidst imposing paintings of the Awadhi history. Following this we collectively gathered to click a photograph in front of Chaudhary Charan Singh’s statue, in the portico of the Vidhan Sabha.
After this, the students had the opportunity to look through the richest collection of governmental manuscripts, newspaper clippings, and rare books in the entire state inside the Vidhan Sabha Library which housed over 5 lakh books. The students went on an enlightening journey from the historical past to the promising future by experiencing first-hand use of groundbreaking technology to learn more about the House through a green screen room selfie point, light and sound show, VR-powered helicopter, and 3D Technology holograms.
Our ultimate point of sightseeing was the Chief Minister’s portrait gallery where students were introduced to the premiers of the state from the beginning to the incumbent. The climax of the trip was the intimate conversation with the speaker Shri Satish Mahana, who was warm enough to explain the intricacies and the process of the Legislative Assembly, giving them insight into the distinct sessions and hours of the House. He also answered the practical inquiries of the students.
