Valentine’s Day Celebrated:

Valentine’s Day only happens once a year and it was a good way to teach children the values of giving and sharing.
It is a reminder that on this particular day you give extra special attention to the ones you love and the ones who love you. How can you express love beyond saying ‘I Love You’? Teaching children how to express love can be a gift that lasts for a lifetime. This celebration in school gave a great opportunity to help children think about friendships too. Teaching our children about the value of spending time with each other is a great manifestation of love. They all went home with a lot of love in their heart and beautiful cards in their hand for their loved ones.

India is well known as a culture filled with ancient traditions. The Hindu culture contradicts many of the western world’s ideals. Valentine’s Day celebrations are known to clash with India’s conservative religious background. It has only been in the most recent years that Valentine’s Day has become widely recognized in India.
