Book Fairs:

Book culture is said to be declining, but G. D. Goenka Public School, Lucknow nurtures and encourages its students to develop a habit of reading books. Keeping this noble aim in mind, a three-day Book Fair was organized in the School premises which concluded on February 12, 2018. The students of all age groups in large numbers very enthusiastically visited the various bookstalls and bought books of their choice. A vast variety of books were on display on the stalls.
There were Fiction, Non-Fiction and Activity books. The corner which was visited most by the children was the Science Fiction section. The Reference Books and Encyclopedias were also much sought after. The whole fair was thronging with children who along with their parents had come to buy books of their interest.

Book Fairs Organized By Goenkan:

The main attraction was the Lucky Draw which was won by Inesh Chopra of Grade VI B. The Classroom Challenge was yet another attraction for the children. The class which would purchase the maximum number of Atlases was to get a set of 15 interesting books as a special prize.
Books are the soul of education. The school believes in inculcating among its students the habit of reading books. Hence, such Book Fairs are regularly organized by the school to foster that spirit among the students. It helps to develop in them a love for books and a habit of reading which is the most important part of education.
