LUCKNOW CBSE SAHODAYA ORGANISES ‘CONVERGE 2023’ – A THREE-DAY INTER-SCHOOL STUDENT CARNIVAL AND YOUTH SKILL UTSAV:-
A three days inter-school student carnival and youth skill utsav ‘Converge 2023’ was organized by CBSE Sahodaya Schools Complex Lucknow from 30 November to 02 December 2023. The event was organised to provide opportunities for students to showcase their skills and enhance their hidden talents.
The three-day cultural fest was organized at GD Goenka Public School Lucknow and Lucknow Public Collegiate and saw enthusiastic participation from more than 500 students from 50 plus CBSE schools of Lucknow. Students of primary, secondary, and higher secondary levels performed in a mélange of competitions like sketching, western vocal music, speech choir, fancy dress, photography, quiz, graphic designing, classical group dance, book review, virtual tour, etc., on the first and second day of the event which culminated with a grand prize distribution ceremony organized at ‘The Centrum’ on 02 December 2023.
The Director of CBSE, Education Skills, Dr. Bishwajit Saha, graced the final day programme as the Chief Guest and enlightened the educators, students, and parents from various schools present there, on important points like insight into the world of industries, alternative education, and career paths. Many other points related to NEP 2020 were also discussed with the parents and students. The chief guest also felicitated all the winners of ‘Converge 2023’ with certificates and trophies. He congratulated all the winning students on their exemplary performance and gave his best wishes for their bright future.
The Chairman of GD Goenka Public School Lucknow & Managing Director of ‘The Centrum’, Mr. Sarvesh Goel attended the award ceremony as a special guest and addressed the August gathering, saying that competitions organized at such grand levels enable the students to participate at a big platform, competing with a very large number of students, which go a long way in building their self-confidence and development of skills to face every kind of challenge in life. Other prominent guests present during the programme included Lucknow Sahodaya Chairman Dr. Jawaid Alam Khan, Secretary Mrs. B. Singh, Principal GD Goenka School Lucknow Dr. Prerna Mitra, and principals of many renowned schools of Lucknow Mrs. Richa Khanna, Mrs. Hema Kalakoti, Dr. Rupali Patel, Dr. Reena Pathak, Mrs. Poonam Gautam, Mrs. Anupama Shukla, and Mr. Avani Kamal.
The Chief Guest, parents, and dignitaries present at the award ceremony appreciated the Lucknow CBSE Sahodaya for promoting the best academic and holistic development of the students and congratulated everyone for conducting such a fruitful talent and skill fest.
