GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow, recently hosted a two-day Training of Trainers (ToT) Certification Programme, organized in collaboration with the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM) and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). This program aimed to enhance the teaching methodologies of 75 experienced educators and principals, aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020’s emphasis on continuous professional development.
Master trainers Gunjan Gandhi, Joint Director of ISTM, and UC Joshi, TNA Consultant, led the sessions, equipping participants with essential skills to drive academic excellence. This initiative is part of a broader program designed to train 15,000 resource persons within 8-10 months, ensuring a nationwide impact on teaching standards.
The workshop focused on advanced instructional strategies, classroom management, and NEP 2020-compliant teaching practices. Attendees included carefully shortlisted education professionals who will bring these enhanced skills to their institutions. The program emphasizes 50 hours of continuous professional development (CPD) for teachers, helping them meet evolving educational demands.

The event featured distinguished speakers, including former CBSE Chairman Ashok Ganguly and Dr. Akhilesh Kumar, Head of COE Prayagraj, who shared insights into the significance of teacher development in achieving NEP objectives. GD Goenka’s Chairman, Sarvesh Goel, and Principal, Dr. Prerna Mitra, welcomed the guests, highlighting the school’s dedication to educational leadership and teacher empowerment.
