STUDENTS WORSHIPPED GODDESS SARASWATI ON THE PIOUS OCCASION OF BASANT PANCHAMI
STUDENTS OF CLASSES 6 – 8 REJOIN SCHOOL FROM TODAY:-
Basant Panchmi marks the beginning of the spring season. The festival of spring was traditionally celebrated with full vivacity and joy in GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow, on 16 February 2021 with great devotion. On this occasion Principal, Ms. Raveen Pande along with all the staff members and senior students assembled together to seek blessings from the divine Goddess of knowledge and wisdom, Maa Saraswati.
This day also marked the re-opening of school for students of classes 6 to 8, who were very excited to join the school after a gap of almost a year. The students showcased their enthusiasm by attending the school in big numbers, and we’re very happy to meet their friends and teachers face to face after such a long time.
However, keeping in mind the current pandemic situation that the whole world is going through, students of the GD Goenka Pre-Primary section celebrated the festival with zeal and enthusiasm virtually.
“Saraswati Vandana” marked the commencement of the celebrations. The little angels all dressed up in yellow attire to seek Maa Saraswati’s blessings sang Saraswati Vandana melodiously. A light on the importance of the day was thrown with the help of PowerPoint presentations and videos. It endowed the Goenkans with a fortuity to know more about the significance and the reason behind the celebrations. The teachers also discussed the influence of education and the importance of books in our life.
The tiny-tots of Pre-Nursery and Nursery unfurled the ebullience of the day by depicting their artistic skills and drawing flowers using different painting skills like cotton dabbing and thumb painting. The blooming-buds of KG and Grade 1 showcased their creativity by making vibrant kites and conveyed the message of being content in all the situations of life. On the other hand, the students of Grade II presented their rhetoric skills by speaking few lines on the occasion of Basant Panchmi. They expressed their gratitude towards their parents and teachers for facilitating their education by making beautiful cards with colourful cutouts related to the Goddess of knowledge.
The celebration was concluded by the message of Principal Ms. Raveen Pande who expressed the importance of quality education for all for a better tomorrow and appealed to parents to support the education of the deprived children in whatever way possible gracefully.
