CELEBRATIONS GALORE AT GD GOENKA SCHOOL ON CHILDREN’S DAY:-

GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow, celebrated Children’s Day on 14th Nov 2022. Children’s Day reminds us of the birth anniversary of Pt. Nehru, the country’s first Prime Minister. This day is celebrated in various ways in various educational institutions of the country. In this way, children pay homage to their Chacha Nehru.
At GD Goenka school, the day began with a special Assembly conducted for children with an endearing presentation by teachers from all sections. The teachers began with school prayer and pledge which was followed by a short skit (before and after effect of exam results). Poetry and singing by teachers enthralled the students. Mesmerizing dance performance by teachers rocked the stage on fire. The National Anthem sung by students and teachers marked the zeal of the Assembly.
14th November was commemorated with immense joy, enthusiasm, and magnificence as it was time to PARTY for the children of our school. It was a fun-filled day for the students as they danced to peppy numbers during the break and shared their delicious food with their classmates. The campus was buzzing with excitement and joy as it was a day wherein fun and frolic dominated.
The ‘Small foot’ movie was shown to students on the occasion of Children’s day for classes III-V. The tiny tots of Pre-primary came dressed up in casual clothes and brought their favorite lunch. The celebrations began with the movie session in the school auditorium where they enjoyed their favorite cartoon movie. The teachers made Children’s Day special for their children by involving them in various games like ‘Make My Face’, ‘Grab the Hanky’, ‘Balloon Race’, ‘Funny Bunny Race’, and ‘Collect the Balls’, etc. A cricket match was organized between the senior students and teachers which created sportsmanship spirit and bonding between teachers and students. The celebrations came to an end with the distribution of mini chocolate cakes in the classes as a small token of love and affection by the school. There was excitement in the air and the students left the school with a bag full of stories about their special day at school.
On behalf of the school management, the school Principal, Dr. Prerna Mitra, addressed the children and shared a few words of wisdom on the occasion of Children’s day. The heartfelt appreciation, likes, and comments by the students were a testimony to the grand success of the celebration of Children’s Day 2022.
