LITTLE GOENKANS PRESENT ‘CLASS KI BAAT’ IN A MELLIFLUOUS SHOW:
On 20 September 2024, GD Goenka Public School hosted a class presentation named ‘Class Ki Baat’ for LKG and UKG parents in the school auditorium, celebrating the children’s academic and personal growth. The event showcased various learning activities focusing on values, language development, Science, Math, and Creativity.
The presentation opened with a heartfelt prayer, followed by the Pledge, Word of the Day, Thought of the Day, and Sanskrit Shlokas, emphasizing responsibility, positive thinking, and cultural values. LKG-A students introduced ‘Classroom Rules’ and presented ‘Parts of Plants and Friends of Plants’, teaching the importance of plants through engaging rhymes like ‘The Farmer Sows the Seed’.
LKG-B highlighted ‘Healthy Eating Habits’ and the ‘National Symbols of India’, followed by a skit on ‘Good Manners’ imparting life lessons through fun interactions. A dance performance on ‘Ek Diya Bati’ highlighted environmental responsibility and good citizenship.
In the UKG class presentation, the academic segment began with Math concepts, where students demonstrated ‘Greater Than and Less Than’ using colourful props, followed by a presentation on ‘Germination’, explaining how seeds grow into plants. Students also presented a skit on the planets of our Solar System, sharing interesting facts about each one. In the English segment, they engaged in an interactive session on CVC (Consonant-Vowel-Consonant) words and sang a song about vowels.
The presentation concluded with a thought-provoking ‘Nukkad Natak’ on the effects of excessive use of smartphone, humorously highlighting the benefits of outdoor play over screen time. Teachers demonstrated interactive classroom activities to promote learning, and Principal Dr Prerna Mitra, along with Chairman of the school Mr Sarvesh Goel and Director Mrs Lalita Goel, praised the students’ creativity and teamwork.
The school’s counsellor conducted a brief session on emotional well-being, offering parents tips on supporting their children’s mental and emotional health.
The event ended with a Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the efforts of students, teachers, parents, and the school administration, leaving the audience impressed by the children’s confidence and enthusiasm.
