GREEN GRANDEUR AND BINGO:-
Clean and Green Environment, Goenkans stiffly believe in and try to maintain an equilibrium between theoretical knowledge and practical learning. With this notion in mind, the ever-ebullient Goenkans exhibited their expertise through “Nukkad Natak”, crafts, poems, and models, and tried their hands at various experiments. A day full of learning and experiencing it by practically do- ing it was evident in the Pre-Primary wing starting from Nursery to class I of GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow on February 9, 2023. The Chairperson of GD Goenka Mr. Sarvesh Goel, Principal Dr. Prerna Mitra, and the Chief Guest Jaiveer Singh (Tourism and Culture Minister Govt of Uttar Pradesh) appreciated the efforts of all the students and encouraged them to be a part of a clean and green environment.
The day turned out to be most enlivened for our toddlers as it was their initiatory step towards practical learning. The theme for them was “flora and fauna” which completely complemented them as learners and individuals blooming in a new world. The students made crafts from waste material and models of plants and animals which were displayed. The objective behind this was to connect the children with mother nature and instill in them the quality of optimum utilization of resources. In the list moving ahead were PreNursery students and the theme
was “save plants” and “save wildlife”. The rationale behind this was to inculcate a sense of awareness and love towards nature and teach the students to live in harmony with the environment. Keeping the objective in mind the students displayed planters and crafts related to animals. Models related to the artificial garden were also displayed.
The theme for Nursery students was “Care for nature” and “Environment.”
