GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow, recently organized an engaging educational kitchen activity for students from Nursery to Grade II. Designed to combine fun with learning, the event focused on developing fine motor skills and introducing basic culinary concepts in a collaborative environment.

The younger children enthusiastically created simple sandwiches by spreading bread and jam, while Grade I and II students explored creativity by preparing colorful tricolor sandwiches. Using safe kitchen tools like plastic knives, plates, and spreading instruments, the students learned essential life skills, such as hand-eye coordination and vocabulary building by naming the utensils and ingredients.

The activity encouraged teamwork and a sense of accomplishment as students proudly shared their culinary creations with peers. It also promoted awareness of healthy eating habits, with children using nutritious ingredients like vegetables, cheese, and chutneys to prepare their dishes.
