G D GOENKA PUBLIC SCHOOL ORGANISED INTER HOUSE HEALTHY SNACKS COMPETITION:-
Science should not be taught as a subject but it should be inculcated into the habits of children such that they develop scientific thinking. Working on this ideology Best Cbse GD Goenka Public School conducted an online inter-house competition to prepare a healthy snack without using fire to highlight the importance of nutrition and make them aware of the basic cooking process on 9th September 2021. Students enthusiastically participated and prepare a dish of their choice and explained its nutritional benefits. The event was conducted in two parts as the preliminary and final round.
Students’ presentations had a wide range of dishes from salads to shakes and some even presented their dishes in the most exotic manner as professional master chefs.
It was not about winning or losing but the overall skills that each child developed and the knowledge they gained in an attempt to create their dishes. Teresa house secured the first position, followed by Radhakrishnan in the second and Tagore grabbed the third position.
