Pre-designated assembly zones ensured that the entire school community gathered safely for attendance and review.
Faculty were pre-briefed about their roles and responsibilities, ensuring a smooth and efficient execution. Class teachers took immediate headcounts, while trained staff provided basic emergency aid demonstrations. The students also participated in exercises that simulated real-time crisis management—covering actions during potential air raids, earthquakes, and fire incidents. The drill was aligned with civil defence protocols and Red Cross recommendations.
One of the key highlights was the involvement of professionals in conducting sessions on first-aid, crowd control, and safe evacuation procedures. The mock scenario even included search-and-rescue simulations, giving students hands-on exposure to life-saving strategies.
Chairman Sarvesh Goel emphasized the need for schools to go beyond academics and instill life skills that empower students to act responsibly in emergencies. “These drills are essential in building confidence and resilience. Preparedness today can save lives tomorrow,” he stated.
