The Training of Trainers (ToT) Certification Programme, organized by CBSE in collaboration with the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM), was recently held at GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow. Conducted over two days, on October 25-26, this initiative aimed to strengthen the teaching skills of 72 seasoned educators and principals from CBSE-affiliated schools across India. The program underscored the importance of fostering academic excellence through advanced teacher training, aligning closely with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The event featured esteemed speakers, including former CBSE Chairman Ashok Ganguly, Head COE Prayagraj Dr. Akhilesh Kumar, and master trainers Gunjan Gandhi, Dr. Saurabh Malhotra, and UTG Joshi. Through their interactive sessions, they emphasized the need for continuous professional development for educators to ensure that quality education reaches every student.
A key highlight was Dr. Saurabh Malhotra’s session on innovative pedagogical approaches. As the Principal of Gurusharan Convent, he captivated attendees with insights on creating engaging, effective classroom environments. Participants had the opportunity to share their experiences and present reflections in group sessions, fostering a collaborative learning atmosphere.
The CBSE-ISTM collaboration behind this program reflects a broader commitment to building an empowered educator community. Aligned with NEP 2020’s mandate for 50 hours of teacher training, the program equipped educators with cutting-edge tools, management strategies, and instructional techniques that are essential for an evolving educational landscape.
