GD Goenka Public School Enhances Student Development with New NCC Program
GD Goenka Public School in Lucknow, a frontrunner in providing holistic education and regarded as the best CBSE school in Lucknow, has recently inaugurated a new National Cadet Corps (NCC) office on its campus. This significant development took place on August 2, marking the commencement of enrollments for the 2024-25 session.
The ceremony was attended by esteemed guests including Colonel Puneet Srivastava, along with the school’s chairman, Sarvesh Goel, and Principal Dr. Prerna Mitra. The introduction of the NCC program aims to foster discipline, leadership, and patriotism among students, aligning with the school’s commitment to comprehensive education.
The enrollment process was a rigorous affair, involving physical fitness tests, a written examination, and personal interviews conducted by Colonel Srivastava. This year, GD Goenka has offered 50 seats for the Junior Division (JD) and 28 seats for the Senior Division (SD), with a high level of interest and competition among students from Classes VII to IX for the JD and from Classes X to XII for the SD.
The inauguration ceremony featured a formal ribbon-cutting event and an insightful session on the objectives and benefits of participating in the NCC. The establishment of the NCC office at GD Goenka Public School signifies a major step forward in offering students opportunities to develop robust leadership skills and a strong sense of civic duty.
